haiti needs our prayers

I can't even describe how sad I am for the things I have seen happening in Haiti the past few days (http://haitirescuecenter.wordpress.com/) It is my prayer that the people of Haiti would know the love of Christ by how we respond to such a disaster. May we respond with nothing other than love. I pray that God would stir in us (all of us!) a desire to give and give and give. We have the opportunity to care for the people of Haiti for months to come. Let us show them they will not be forgotten.

I found this video earlier on CNN about a family in the process of adopting from Haiti. I know many families are experiencing the same thing as the Iveys. My hope is that people would see videos like this and be moved to care for the orphans and widows. To act on His behalf. I pray God would use this tragic disaster to open our eyes, hearts and homes to those that need someone to love them. May God open my heart to love more because I know there is room...

  1. Haiti is also in my prayers. The cynics say "how can your God allow this if He is so mighty"... but we know that God sees the big picture. And though the devastation is almost beyond comprehension, we can love on the people of Haiti and bring glory to our Lord while hopefully even bringing more people to Him through the love we show.

  2. i am hoping the same thing...that many people will see the videos or hear of the adopting couples adopting from haiti and that their hearts will be moved and stirred to adopt also! Yes there is devastation...but through this...I'm sure God is going to do even bigger wonders and miracles and souls being won to Him! Like Jenn said above...He sees the big picture! :0)
