Amos Story

Some may think that the bond between parents and biological children is different than with adoptive children. We have one biological son and I can honestly say that I long to hold my sweet Ugandan baby just as much as I longed when my son was growing in my womb. This time around, I cannot feel his/her kicks and hiccups inside me...I just trust that he/she is safe and sound. The connection I feel with the child I have never met is not through genes but through my heart. The love I feel already without meeting or even knowing who God has chosen us to care for is so deep. As angels hold you tight, may you sleep in peace tonight my sweet, Ugandan babe.

This song is written by a father about his son in Haiti...and the bond is there.
