adoption timeline
- 2/7/11- going for it! we believe she is our daughter!!!
- 2/2/11- get an email about an itty, bitty 8 month old girl...start praying..
- 1/11- trusting god that His plan is best and thinking we would be bringing our boy home without a baby#2.
- 11/27/10- get a call with news that our girl had died of an asthma attack..heartbroken.
- 11/25/10- officially matched with little baby girl!!
- 11/16/10- find out about a 3 week old girl named kirabo ... she is ours!!!
- 11/14/10- sent out some inquires regarding child #2
- 10/10- started feeling like there may be another child for us ... started praying ...
- 9/3/10- found the woman who brought babyu to the baby home!!!!!
- 7/26/10- received O-boy's passport in the mail...LET"S GO!
- 7/19/10- received/accepted a referral for a 14 month old boy!!
- 6/16/10- Courts close for 1 month
- 5/4/10- on the waitlist with the orphanage!
- 5/2/10- We are approved!!! Received our I-171h!!
- 4/20/10- Receive a call from another USCIS office-Our 1st copy (homestudy) is found!!! And forwarded on to the correct office!
- 4/19/10- Drove 2 hours to hand deliver copy #2 of our hs to our local USCIS office.
- 4/15/10- Homestudy is officially MIA
- 4/13/10- Ask Senator's office and agency to check on the status
- 4/6/10- realized our local USCIS office never received our hs.
- 3/23/10- sent home study to USCIS. FINALLY!
- 3/23/10- sent packet to agency for dossier
- 2/16/10- sent in last document to complete our home study!
- 2/7/10- home study interviews
- 1/7/10- uscis fingerprints!!
- 1/4/10- received appointment for uscis fingerprints
- 11/15/09- sent in I-600a
- 10/21/09- officially started homestudy
- 10/1/09- applied with homestudy agency (had a hard time finding a hague accredited agency that was also licensed in our county)
- 9/18/09- got accepted! wahoo!!
- 9/15/09- applied with agency
- 9/7/09- decided to adopt from africa
